This refers to graphics which aren't necessarily web related, such as Logos, charts, maps, diagrams etc.
This can range from making adjustments to photographs which you have provided to commisioning a photographer.
You might need posters or leaflets to coincide with the launch of your website. Or perhaps you want a corporate identity which reflects your new online presence.
This page and the following five show previews of all the sites which have been built to-date.
Clarke-Design was constructed for graphic designer Andrew Clarke. It uses three main colours; red-orange, black and white. The red-orange is used to highlight menu items as well as being used for a coloured band which stretches across the top of each page. The preview shows the first page of the portfolio section and features a double-page spread for Thompson & Morgan's seed catalogue.
"Mark Laverton Clocks is a UK based family firm making authentic reproduction clocks of 'Antique' character using the heritage skills of England and the traditional materials necessary for the building of such a unique piece from an age when mechanical clocks were in their prime."
I wanted to try and invoke a sense of that period in the design. The format of the pages is long and thin, with a deep red border on either side. Everything is centred in the browser window. At the top of each page is the MD Laverton logo which I based on scrollwork used for their range of bracket clocks.
The brief for the knowledgeworks site was to keep things simple. The header contains the Knowledgeworks logo "knowledge" in maroon, and "works" in black, blended together to make one word. On the right-hand side is a montage of business images in tints of maroon. The page links are white against a maroon navigation bar.
ACS is a Chelmsford based cleaning firm. I wanted the site to have a fresh modern feeling to reflect the firms use of the latest cleaning technology "Pure Water - High Reach Ladderless System".
"Donyland Lodge is a Therapeutic Community, providing a positive, nurturing environment and education for young people aged between 11 and 18 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties."
I wanted the site to feel positive, up-beat to reflect the ethos behind Donyland.
Heather Clarke has been a freelance children's book illustrator for over twenty years and has had work published by Puffin, Scholastic, Oxford & Cambridge University Press and others. She wanted her site to be sunny, playful, to reflect the qualities of her work.
Cabvans.com is an Essex based courier/removal service. The page has a checked pattern band running along the top with a header in a mustard yellow. Underneath there two columns; on the left are bulleted points of the main services offered, and on the right an introductory paragraph about the company. At the bottom of the page there is a solid black footer containing contact information.
The Sky Gallery is really a Flashâ„¢ exercise which grew out of a desire to develop a flexible gallery format for displaying panoramic photographs. As part of this flexibility I wanted the images to load dynamically from an external source so they could easily be changed and edited, whilst keeping the size of the movie to a minimum.
Mark Edwards: Corporate video productions is a video showcase. Mark wanted to keep the design clean and simple, and for this reason there are only two pages. On the first page there is an example of Marks photography together with three links: Contact: which opens a new email window, Photography: which links to Marks photography website and Video: which links to page 2. Page 2 follows the same format, but instead of a photograph there is a window for displaying the videos.
